Julie  has been playing the harp for weddings and special events for over twenty-five years. She doesn’t just show up on time, she shows up ahead of time. Being ready before the wedding starts is part of Julie’s visual presentation, something she considers an important aspect of the service she provides. She takes care to coordinate her clothes with the bridal colors, and she’ll suit her outfit to the occasion, whether it’s a light weight chiffon dress for a beach wedding, or a beaded gown, velvet cape and sequined shoes for a formal hotel event. She also knows when to play and when not to. A minister who has worked at weddings with Julie explains ”Sometimes there are moments when the musician should stop playing so the audience can hear me talk. Julie is very sensitive to that. On the other hand, she never leaves dead silence when it isn’t appropriate."
